MTC Week Grads

We've completed our week at the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo. It was a "heavenly" week...stimulating, humbling and stressful. We had the most amazing instructors and counselors. One night, there was a devotional where Apostle Quentin Cook and lovely wife spoke. There were 4000 young men and women in attendance, as well as us 'oldsters;' one thousand of them sang in a choir that was awesome. There was even a man outside passing out anti-Mormon literature who came all the way from London to do this.

Saturday, we attended the beautiful Timpanogas Temple with new friends, Kent and Gaylene Hammond. He's a brother to our neighbor in Cedar City, Rosalie. Then we returned to our motel to re-pack. I think we finally have it right. We have Sunday free to attend meetings and rest up, then on Monday is "M" day; the day we finally take the big plunge and fly with the moon to Melbourne, Australia. So, Cheerio! until we meet again. Scott & Shirley

*This is their daughter Amber here to report an update. This blog post was written on Saturday. They flew to Australia Sunday night. We haven't heard from them yet but hope they had a safe and easy flight! We're excited to hear how their stay in the mission home went and if they're over the jetlag! Australia is 18 hours ahead!

...more pics to come later!
